Shipping policy

As of February 17th, 2020, Camoretro.com is transitioning to free shipping site-wide. Sellers are responsible for the shipping costs of all items. As a seller, please keep this in mind when listing items and setting prices.

Sellers have 10 days to ship an item after point of sale until the customer can request a refund. As a customer, please refrain from reaching out until 10 days after your order has been placed. 

90% of Camoretro's inventory belong to individual sellers like you that are balancing work, family, and life. They're sent a reminder about shipping every 3 days. Please be patient with the process. 

The resources below can be used to help you estimate the shipping costs of your items: 

  • United States Postal Service Price Calculator (Preferred Camoretro carrier - generally most affordable)
  • United Parcel Service Estimate Shipping Cost Tool (Can be more affordable than USPS for items heavier than 1.5 lbs or when shipping to some urban zip codes)
  • FedEx Shipping Rate Tool (Generally the most expensive option) 
  • PirateShip.com is used by several Camoretro sellers to find the best rates with USPS. For example, it's easy to unnecessarily opt into USPS's priority shipping rates at a premium without realizing it.
  • FedEx Authorized ShipCenters and UPS Authorized Shipping Outlets are third party to both companies and their services include a surcharge. Though unverified, I've been told the minimum surcharge is 18%. These locations are usually found in the rural markets in which many of our sellers live. 

 

If you're shipping even a few items it can make sense to buy some cardboard boxes or poly mailers to offset some of the shipping costs. Using flat-rate packaging provided by shipping carriers usually carries a premium rate with it. Shipping hats in anything except a box or rigid package of some sort is highly discouraged. Packaging can be bought in small quantities at brick and mortar retailers (Wal-Mart, Target, etc.).
